It’s been awhile since I watched this one. I forgot how heartwarming it was and eye opening to the littler things in life. A young man is left feeling down after losing he job, a situation many people can now relate. On top of that, he is called back to his hometown, Elizabethtown, when his father passes away. During his flight he meets a stewardess who will teach him a lesson or two about seeing the silver lining and picking oneself up after a failure. This romantic comedy stars Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst. Kirsten Dunst is the stewardess clearly taken with the distraught soul of one of her passengers. She even takes him on a journey to teach him a lesson in appreciation. Orlando Bloom is the stressed young Drew Baylor, out of a job and placed in the role of planning his father’s funeral all in the same day. While I don’t feel it was Orlando’s best film role, along side Kirsten Dunst the two had some decent on screen chemistry and a great lesson to teach in this adorable, heart warming film of loss and love. |
