Wow! I just want to throw that out there. Lately life is really starting pick up the pace. Last week I posted about getting a new car. That added a new payment to my bills. My classes are really stressful. There's been a lot of reading and wondering how I'm going to keep up. Not only keeping up with schoolwork but also keeping up with the writing group I'm in since they changed our weekly deadline. *internal scream* If that's not enough, I just added being an editor to that list. I look forward to that but hope it doesn't stress. *inner jumping for joy* I'm a firm believer in a healthy level of stress. However, lately I'm finding that I've had to manage some of my stress. What is really worth worrying about? For all of the things that I can't control how am I going react? I'll be honest it's not been easy lately. Somethings have really eaten away at me lately and I can't wait for them to be over. Here's my latest article: www.theodysseyonline.com/managing-my-stress. One thing I forgot to mention in the article is treating yourself. And I've got a nice treat coming. You'll all hear more about it later. Let's just say it's going to be a nice mini vacation away from everything for at least a night. As always thanks for all the support! ~CCNight This is the latest on life: I've financed my first car! In the last few days I've upgraded from a 2001 Cruiser to a 2014 Dart. I couldn't be more excited and a little stressed about payments. But I know I can handle it. It's a great new car and is a smooth ride. www.theodysseyonline.com/financed-first-car The updates here may be coming more frequently as there have been other changes as well. My writing is now due each and every Wednesday by 5 pm. So I'll probably be dropping more updates on the weekends instead of the middle of the week. With that my weekends will now be free to get back to what I love. I can do more reading, catch up on the Netflix queue and best of all; focus on the musical and get it finished and ready for submission! Can I hear you all say 'Broadway, Here I Come!' Things are happening and changing quickly so I' need to adjust to keep up. Hope all my viewers are doing well. My best to all of you CCNight The new article is live. This week I decided to step away from controversy and into home living. Do you have trouble deciding on something to eat? Or are you always arguing about what to cook for dinner? Perhaps you just want to pop something in the microwave after a long shift. Or how about this one, no one in the household has the same schedule so everyone eats something different. Here is s a solution for the single, the overworked and the hectic schedules: freeze ahead meals. Plan meals for a week or a month, have something basically prepared that just needs heating up or let each person eat something different. What ever the reason maybe, take one day to cook and you can have something quick and easy and will save you money on the takeout. www.theodysseyonline.com/5-freeze-ahead-meals I've had to take a break from my writing projects due to school. I'm only taking two classes but the amount of required reading is going to be a killer this term. I'll be getting back to it soon though, it just won't be hot and heavy like it was. But I'm determined to get there and finish this play. More updates to come as I finish more projects. As always you can check here on the links page to see what's happening. A weekly update will be posted each week that is shared to Facebook and Twitter as well. Yours truly, CCNight New article has gone live. These are some of the pros and cons of being small. Specifically what it's like to be a 00 petite. Don't think that just because a person is small that she is incapable. She is just as fierce and independent as the next woman. Small but Mighty and Fun Sized are the mottos I live by. They're not derogatory and I don't take offense to these phrases. I fully embrace them. Life is what you make it I want to make mine positive. That's not to say I don't have bad days. Who doesn't? But I'm willing to make my dreams come true, what about you? www.theodysseyonline.com/letter-from-00-petite Sorry I don't have more to post this week. The play kind of go pushed aside this week. But don't worry, I'll get back to it this week. Until then Happy Independence Day everyone! Enjoy your 4th of July and be safe. ~CCNight |
