The end of days has begun. Chaos erupts all over the world. People are just disappearing without a single trace. There are several theories flying around about what happened to these people, but only one real answer.
Left Behind is a collaborative piece by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. The focus of the novel is the beginning of the end of days as described in the book of Revelations, the last book in The Bible. It tells that the truest believers will be taken home and the rest will be left behind to tell of the glorious second coming of Christ. One man and his daughter remain skeptical about how all these people have disappeared. The is until they have no other logical answer. Nuclear weapons developed by another nation would not cause disappearances all over the world. It still seemed unlikely that aliens would be that selective. It wasn’t until they met a priest at the church of their missing family member, that they began to believe. The teachings of this church had been heavily focused on Apocalypse and the coming of the end of days. The original pastor of the church even left a video for those left behind. Everything begins to move quickly in the timeline that is mapped out in the book of Revelations. The time of the Seven Years of Tribulation has begun. Can those left behind survive the coming destruction? More to be revealed in the next installation of the series, Tribulation Force. This book was quite intriguing. It good insights into the the book of Revelations that might make reading this book of The Bible a little clearer. Tim LaHaye, and evangelical minister teamed with author Jerry B. Jenkins to create the Left Behind series. The idea of chaos erupting all over the world is something that I agree with when I think of the end of days. What I have a hard time agreeing with in this novel is the idea that one man can accurately map out the timeline for the second coming of Christ. In my personal studies and belief, no can fathom God’s time or his intricate plans. I leave that to the hands of God, though the rest of the novel was very gripping. I greatly look forward to the next book in the series. Merry Christmas dear viewers!!!
I've been busy lately. I have one final fairy tale analysis that I'm finishing up. A book review coming the next week. And I'm still finishing a book. Then I have another book. I'll be going back to school soon. But don't worry, with the new year around the corner I'll still remember to post regularly. With the Christmas season here I decided to go see a movie. Sorry, I did not go see the new Star Wars movie. If anyone ruins this movie for me, be prepared to be blocked, lol. Instead I went to see Krampus. Seemed fitting with some of the other groups I'm currently involved with. Here is a link to the review of movie. It was good, but it wasn't great. I feel it kind of missed it's mark. http://imustbehallucinating.com/wordpress/krampus-movie-review/ More coming with the new year. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! ~CeCe Please check out my latest fairy tale analysis of 'The Snow Queen' at IMBH.
